Research: qualitative and quantitative 

The consultants are very experienced researchers who have published widely and have written reports for Pacific Island Country governments, non-governmental organisations, regional organisations, UN agencies and other multi-lateral organisations such as the Asian Development Bank and the World Bank. They have familiarity with social science approaches and methods of data collection, analysis, and report writing.

Mentoring of thesis research students

Most of the consultants has supervised numerous masters and PhD thesis students to successful completion of their theses.

Social Development Policy

The consultants have expertise in social development policy including poverty reduction and social protection, housing, education, health, and social security.

Political Development

National constitutions, political institution building, governance, and political processes are also areas of interest and research for OCRA consultants.

Economic Development Strategies

The consultants also have strong interest in economic diversification, investment policies, and sustainable economic development.

Conflict Management and Peace Building

Conflict management and peace building is a critical area of research and policy making in PICs. OCRA consultants have expertise in facilitating processes that help manage conflict and build peace.
